Privacy policy
Effective date: October 1, 2026
Cardboard Books Publishing operates cardboardbookspublishing.com to share information about Bluefire and books by Arani R. Wheeler. This policy explains how information is handled when you visit the website, join our email list, or contact us about privacy. Privacy questions: hey@cardboardbookspublishing.com.
1. Information We Collect
When you sign up for book updates, we collect the first name, last name, and email address you enter, together with your subscription consent and confirmation status. If you email us, we receive your email address and the information in your message. Please do not send sensitive personal information.
Our website and email providers may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser and device details, page requests, and email delivery or interaction information to operate and protect their services. We do not collect payment-card details on this website.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use signup information to send the confirmation email, welcome email, and occasional Bluefire news, future-book announcements, and reader extras you requested. We use messages to respond to your inquiry, and technical information to operate the website, maintain security, and understand service performance. You can browse the book information and follow the purchase link without subscribing.
3. Sharing of Information
We use Systeme.io to host the website and manage subscribers and email delivery, Cloudflare to provide domain and website infrastructure, and our email provider to handle correspondence. These providers process information as needed to provide their services. Information may be processed outside your state or country. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect legal rights and website security.
We do not sell or rent our reader email list. The purchase button links through mistydorman.com/bluefire to Amazon. Those separate websites handle their own information collection, purchases, payments, and returns under their own policies.
4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Our website service providers may use cookies, browser storage, and server logs for website operation, security, and service measurement. Email services may record delivery, opens, or link clicks; open measurements can be affected by your email application. You can manage cookies through your browser and disable automatic image loading in your email application. Blocking cookies may affect website features.
Browser Do Not Track signals do not change our website’s data practices. External websites, including Amazon and the purchase-link redirect, may use their own cookies and tracking technologies.
5. Data Retention
We keep subscription information while you remain subscribed and as needed to manage your choices. After you unsubscribe, a limited suppression record may be retained so you are not emailed again unintentionally. Other records are kept only as needed for correspondence, service operation, security, or legal obligations. Provider backups may remain for a limited period under the provider’s retention practices.
We use available account and access safeguards to protect information. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
6. Your Rights
Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email to stop future updates. For access, correction, deletion, or other privacy requests, email hey@cardboardbookspublishing.com. We may ask for reasonable information to verify your request. Additional privacy rights may apply depending on where you live.
Children’s privacy
Bluefire welcomes readers of many ages. Our email newsletter is for readers aged 13 or older, including parents and guardians. Children under 13 must not submit their own information. A parent or guardian may subscribe using their own name and email address to receive updates for a younger reader. If you believe we received information from a child under 13, contact hey@cardboardbookspublishing.com so we can investigate and remove it. An email confirmation is not parental consent.
Policy updates
We may update this policy when our practices change. We will post the revised policy here with a new effective date and provide additional notice when required.
